How to Edit Dental Videos With AI Using HyperFrames

Daniel Park|2026-09-09

For most dental practices, social media is a great way to build familiarity with patients before they ever call the office. The problem is editing.

A one-minute Instagram Reel might require cutting pauses, adding captions, creating graphics, resizing the video, and adding animations.

Tools like HyperFrames + Codex or Claude Code can make this much easier.

Instead of manually editing everything, you can simply tell the AI what you want.

For example:

Remove the pauses, add captions, and create a clean animation explaining the three benefits I'm talking about.

Here is how to get started.

What You Need

Before starting, you will need:

  • ChatGPT (Codex) or Claude Code
  • An ElevenLabs account for transcription
  • Your raw video

You do not need to know how to code.

Step 1: Create a Folder

Create a new folder on your computer.

For example:

HyperFrames

This will become your AI video-editing workspace.

Step 2: Open the Folder in Codex or Claude Code

Open ChatGPT Desktop and switch to Codex.

Start a new project and select the HyperFrames folder you just created.

Then paste:

https://github.com/heygen-com/hyperframes

And ask:

Can you initialize this HyperFrames project inside this folder?

The AI will handle most of the installation for you.

Step 3: Add Your Dental Practice Branding

You can also ask the AI to create a reusable brand folder.

For example:

Create a reusable brand kit for my dental practice.

Then add things like:

  • Practice logo
  • Brand colors
  • Fonts
  • Icons

Later, you can simply say:

Use my dental practice branding for this video.

You can even attach your website link and have AI extract your practice's branding.

For example, Google's Pomelli can help extract your "brand DNA":

https://labs.google.com/u/0/pomelli/onboarding

Step 4: Add ElevenLabs for Better Transcription

ElevenLabs converts the speech in your video into text.

This is useful because HyperFrames can use the transcript and exact timing of your words to decide when captions, graphics, and animations should appear.

First, create an account on ElevenLabs.

Once you're logged in:

  1. Find the API Keys section in your ElevenLabs account.
  2. Click Create API Key.
  3. Give it a recognizable name, such as HyperFrames.
  4. Copy the API key.

Think of an API key like a password that allows HyperFrames to use ElevenLabs on your behalf.

Don't post or share this key publicly.

Now go back to Codex or Claude Code and say:

I want to use ElevenLabs for video transcription. I already have my API key. Can you walk me through where to add it?

The AI should guide you through the setup.

Typically, it will create or point you to a file called:

.env

This is a private configuration file used to store things like API keys.

Paste your ElevenLabs key where the AI tells you to place it, save the file, and then tell the AI:

Done. Can you check that ElevenLabs is connected correctly?

Once it confirms the connection, you shouldn't need to repeat this setup for every video.

Step 5: Create a Folder for Each Video

Inside your HyperFrames folder, create another folder called:

Projects

Then create a folder for each video.

For example:

Projects / Dental Implant Video

Drop your raw video into that folder.

Step 6: Tell AI How You Want the Video Edited

Now comes the fun part.

You don't need to describe the technical details of how an animation should be built. Instead, describe what should happen, when it should happen, and what you want it to look like.

For one of my own videos, I wanted clean Apple-style graphics with liquid glass cards appearing next to me while I was talking.

My prompt looked something like this:

I want you to edit this video using HyperFrames and make it feel clean, modern, and engaging. Use Apple-style motion graphics and animations.

First, transcribe the entire video so the graphics can appear at the exact moment I mention each topic.

When I mention Claude, I point toward the left side of the screen. At that moment, animate the Claude logo into the left side of the frame.

Have the logo enter with a subtle spinning or floating animation, followed by the text Claude 5.1.

Put the logo and text inside a clean liquid glass-style card so it stays easy to read against the video background.

Keep the animation subtle and premium. Don't cover my face.

You don't need to explain how to code the animation.

Just explain what you want the viewer to see.

Step 7: Use Planning Mode

Before the AI edits the video, ask it to create a plan.

In Codex, you can use:

/plan

Then ask:

Show me the motion graphics and text you plan to use at each part of the video before you build it.

This gives you a simple storyboard.

For example:

0–3 sec: Hook text
4–10 sec: Animated graphic explaining the problem
11–20 sec: Captions + supporting image
21–30 sec: Call to action

If you don't like something, change it before the AI creates the video.

Step 8: Let the AI Create the Video

Once the plan looks good, simply say:

Looks good. Implement the plan.

The AI will create the first version.

Watch it and give feedback just like you would give feedback to a video editor.

For example:

Make the captions smaller.

Keep the implant graphic on screen longer.

Remove the animation at 15 seconds.

Make the opening feel faster.

The AI can continue adjusting the video based on your feedback.

You Can Also Give AI Reference Images

One of the most useful features is giving HyperFrames screenshots or images to recreate.

For example, you could upload:

  • An implant diagram
  • Your scheduling page
  • A Google review
  • An Invisalign scan
  • A before-and-after image
  • A screenshot from your website

Then say:

When I talk about scheduling an appointment, animate this screenshot of our online booking page.

The AI can use that image as a reference and build an animation around it.

A Simple Prompt for Dentists

Try this with your first video:

Edit this raw video into a professional Instagram Reel for our dental practice.

First, transcribe the video so you understand exactly what I'm saying and when I'm saying it.

Remove long pauses and obvious mistakes.

Add short, easy-to-read captions.

Look through the transcript and identify 3–4 places where motion graphics could help explain what I'm talking about.

Add simple, modern graphics at those moments.

Use our practice colors and keep the style clean and professional.

Do not cover my face.

Before editing, show me your proposed motion graphics and storyboard.

The Main Idea

You don't need to become a video editor.

With HyperFrames, the skill that matters most is simply being able to describe what you want.

Instead of learning complicated editing software, you can tell AI:

"Show an implant diagram here."

"Highlight this sentence."

"Animate this screenshot."

"Put these three options into glass cards next to me."

"Make this part easier to understand."

For a busy dental practice, that can make producing educational social media content much faster and much more realistic.
