How to Record Using the Pendant
Learn how to start and stop recordings, understand haptic feedback, and best practices for using your pendant.

How to Record Using the Pendant
1. Open the Record Page
On the mobile app, navigate to Record.
2. Select Recording Source
Ensure “Recording From” = Omi Bluetooth Device.
Pendant Version 1
- Start recording: Press and hold for 3 seconds
- Stop recording: Press and hold for 3 seconds
- Turn ON/OFF: Short press
Pendant Version 2
- Start recording: Short press
- Stop recording: Short press
- Turn OFF: Press and hold for 4 seconds
- (Light turning off confirms power off)

FAQ
Can I keep the app closed and still record?
Yes. The pendant can start recording even if the app is closed.
We recommend verifying that the pendant is flashing blue and that you receive a phone notification to confirm recording has started.
Can I start recording on the pendant and stop it on the phone?
Not recommended. If you start recording using the pendant, you should also stop it using the pendant. Switching between devices can cause: the recording not stopping properly and corrupted audio file.
